They are used in anti-ageing cosmetics and for sensitive skin.Spirulina (protein algae), is a microalga rich in minerals, vitamins, proteins and amino acids. Spirulina can grow in both fresh and salt water and has the ability to thrive in a wide variety of environments. They are used in cosmetics for properties capable of restoring elasticity, firming and repairing skin damage.Porphyra Umbilicalis (Nori seaweed) is a seaweed belonging to the red algae group, which is widely used in Japanese cuisine. Its colour is characteristic of the presence of water-soluble pigments of a protein-like nature. The reddish pigments mask the rest of the pigments such as chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, β-carotene and xanthophylls. It is an alga rich in vitamins A, B and C.Ascophyllum Nodosum (brown algae), also part of the Fucaceae family, as well as Laminaria digitata algae, have the ability to significantly reduce skin pigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase (a key enzyme in skin colouring).
