Melaleuca essential oil (Australian tea tree oil) is frequently used for its powerful antiseptic properties and its effectiveness against bacteria, viruses and fungi; it can also be used to disinfect wounds, promote healing and reduce inflammation in lesions. ONE drop in your gargle water and your sore throat will be gone. Dab the inflammation in your mouth with a cotton bud soaked in the oil, and it will be GONE by the next morning.
